Happy Birthday To ME!!!

...My 24th Birthday Cake from Heffa!! It's tradition!

Doesn't matter who else buys us a cake, we always got each other!...

Can't believe how old I'm getting!! Lol My birthday just recently passed on the 22nd and

the excitement I have now about still being in the land of the living I definitely did not have Saturday morning. I've been feeling a little lonely and homesick lately and being alone on my birthday had me a little down. Despite all of my friends efforts (especially Queeta) I just could not get out of my funk! That is, until I received a phone call from someone who quickly reminded me just how blessed I am. I've made it through 24 years of life, in good health, loving and supportive family, friends, and significant other, a bachelors degree, about 13 months away from my masters,and no kids.There are endless opportunities available for me and some people would give anything to be in my shoes.

Well needless to say, that little pep talk was all I needed! I dragged myself out of bed and hit the streets with my right hand Queeta! And needless to say, she was more than pleased that my little mood was over lol

The night ended with a few drinks at Global Gourmet, a nice lounge here in Carbondale with a small group of friends. It's a pretty nice spot for those older students who have outgrown clubbing with the freshies. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening and appreciate my loves for coming out just for little ol' me! :)

Although I am so ready to be done with school, I promised myself that I would cherish every minute and to live everyday to the fullest. Growing up adults would always preach to enjoy our younger years and not rush to grow up. Boy if I knew then what I know now! Quoting one of my followers on Twitter, "I wonder when I traded in my fun for responsibility", but hey,  that's life!

Oh!!! I almost forgot!!! Mommie & Daddy blessed me with a brand new camera as one of my birthday gifts! All the pictures on this post were taken with it and were taken mostly by me!! (Except for the ones I'm in of course) Be on the lookout for more pictures and any comments and suggestions are welcome! FYI my parents are the BOMB.COM :)
